Much of my time with my camera is spent in the Tawas/Oscoda/Harrisville areas of Northern Michigan. With my focus mainly on wildlife and landscape photography, a few of my favorite locations are Tawas Point State Park, the shores of Lake Huron, Tuttle Marsh and Iargo Springs Interpretive Site. Tawas Point offers a multitude of water and woods photographic opportunities, including over 300 species of birds that pass through annually, and of course, the best sunrises anywhere. With its diverse ecosystem, the 183 acre state park is part of the Mississippi migratory flyway and is known for its annual Spring warbler and shorebird migration, drawing birders from around the world.
